about

"Exclusion Zone is the dynamic harsh noise project of Dayton, Ohio's Rusty Skelding. While having been active for years in underground music via damaged rock bands, modular synthesis, and even hip-hop production (including a production credit on the most recent Public Enemy LP!) Skelding distills his explorations in extreme sound with Exclusion Zone, focusing on constantly shifting and crumbling noise, acidic filter sweeps, and frequency modulation on the verge of collapse. Themed around environmental disasters, it is easy for the listener to draw parallels between the wide-spread damage of a destroyed nuclear reactor and Exclusion Zone's expulsion of burning, toxic noise assaults." -- Luke Tandy (Skeleton Dust, Heat Signature, Harness...etc)

There is so much going on here...chaotic squeeling, squelching high tones bubble to the surface, floating above heavy low end rumble, only to be pulled under and swallowed by crushing waves of sonic magma.
