about

Scathing has been released on notable labels such as Idiopathic, Oxen, Dada Drumming, Angst and Dead Gods...but this tape is subjectively special as it marks the first time that AAD has had the pleasure of doing a release, not only with Scathing, but with a local Austin, TX based project. Needless to say, it was well worth the wait.

"Side A" gets straight to the point with jarring aggressive dynamics. Intensely controlled shards of fast-paced sonic abrasion attacking from all angles...totally merciless and uncompromising heavy sound. It's the ideal way to start things off and it has nearly every aspect you'd want from the first half of a Harsh Noise tape.

"Side B" has a different approach, taking it's time with layers of clank and clatter, piling up on top of each other like a towering death trap of rusty scrapyard junk. Tension slowly builds until the whole thing falls in on itself, collapsing into a tumbling mess of savage electronics. Even some tortured vocals emerge out of the grinding wreckage, as if someone is struggling to crawl out of the mangled tetanus heap before surrendering to a bitter and painful demise with no light at the end of the tunnel.

*Digital version transferred directly from the physical tape in order to give everyone an equal and authentic listening experience*
